Craft Fair Success!

Wunderhouse was at Paradocx Vineyard this weekend and it was quite a success! I shared a table with one of my managers at the vineyard to help sell some of her collection of vintage items.

It was a lot of fun talking to all the customers and the other vendors. I was lucky enough to be set up right next to Other Animal Coffee and managed to stay warm in the shade!

All of these vintage items (and more!) are still available to purchase! The vintage sewing patterns were definitely some of my favorite items, but I'm a bit biased since I love to sew.

I've also signed up for another craft fair in Lancaster, PA next month. Be on the lookout for new shop items coming soon!

Craft Fair Prep Week!

This week I will be attending my very first craft fair! (Woohoo!) This craft fair is being held at Paradocx Vineyard, a local vineyard based in Chester County, PA, and I also happen to work there :)

If you're local, you should definitely consider coming to their 7th Annual Community Day on Saturday, October 10, 2015!
There will be a ton of local food trucks, bands, and vendors with lots of family-friendly activities. It's sure to be a great time, AND you'd get to support local business!

All of that being said, I have a lot of work ahead of me in the next week! I've got about 100 coasters already made, and probably at least another 100 in the works. I also have some knitting, crocheting, and sewing projects completed that I'm thinking about displaying as well.

If anyone is wondering how I make these lovely coasters, here is a video tutorial from dreamflight6000 on YouTube:
Definitely give it a shot if you have time! They're lots of fun :)

Introductions

Hello, everyone! I am going to be your TA for Professor Gidjunis's class this semester. I am a senior English writing major here at Eastern.

I recently started an Etsy shop where I am selling some of my crafts and artwork. The shop, and my blog, is called Wunderhouse because it's a combination of my last name, Houseknecht, and my fiancĂ©'s last name, Wunderlich. Plus, I think it's really cute.

My semester is going to be CRAZY busy, meaning this blog is likely to be all over the place, from wedding planning to updates about my business and everything in between!

Just in case you weren't paying attention, misplaced your syllabus, or simply didn't read it, I will be available by email. I will also hold a weekly office hour on Thursdays from 10-11am in the Jammin' Java. AND if that weren't enough, I work in the writing center on the third floor of Walton (the building with the food)!

I am really excited to have this semester with all of you, and please do not hesitate to ask questions about life, college, or class. I'd be happy to help! I'm looking forward to reading your blog posts :)
